    The Lock and Dam 3 Project is a US Army Corps 
of Engineers (USACE) project administered by USACE's St. Paul District.
 
    Edward Kraemer and Sons (EKS) is the contractor for the Navigation Improvements and the Lower Embankment portions of the Project.
 
    This website's goal is to inform all interested parties, public, and government stakeholders, about the Project, including its' scope and the schedules.

BOATERS ALERT
EKS wants to assure all boaters, that while they may encounter delays during the construction period, we anticipate NO lock closures.
The Corps he of Engineers, as of 1201 April 7, 2011, has accepted the new wall extension and the contractor,Edward Kraemer & Sons, is no longer responsible for providing an assist boat at Lock and Dam #3. Mariners should exercise caution as outdraft conditions may have changed.
